The Student Appreciation Award recognizes individuals who contribute to the quality of student life and the MIS department. Nominees can be students in good academic standing, faculty, support staff and administrators who demonstrate selfless dedication and excellence in areas such as:
Awards will be presented at the Student Appreciation Ceremony in Departmental Meeting on February, 2017 at the Esenboga Campus. The nominator is required to present the award, or to provide an alternate person for the presentation. Only nominees that pass the pre-screening process will be invited to attend the Student Appreciation Ceremony.
A six-student team is awarded for their contributions to the MIS Department Introduction Session on March 24, 2016.

Who can be nominated for an award?
MIS department students, faculty, support staff and administrators are eligible nominees and nominators.
Is there a limit to the number of nominations that I can submit?
Each person can submit a maximum of three nominations. Each nomination must include a supporting letter (minimum 250 words) indicating why the nominee is a deserving candidate for an award.
How are recipients selected?
Recipients are selected by a committee consisting of past recipients and representatives from the MIS department.
When are the award recipients announced?
The recipients are announced and presented with their awards at the Student Appreciation Ceremony in Departmental Meeting on February, 2017 at the Esenboga Campus.
What do award recipients receive?
Recipients receive public recognition of his/her contributions at the Student Appreciation Awards Ceremony along with a certificate of appreciation and a letter of appreciation.
How will I know if my nominee is receiving an award?
All nominees will be contacted via email beginning of February, 2017 with the results.
